We are looking for a Junior Estimator/Appraiser. The Estimator/Appraiser is an in house position, responsible for ensuring the quality of repair-related paperwork to facilitate efficiencies within the claims handling process including reducing repair cycle-time and controlling repair costs.

Responsibilities are:

  • To create detailed repair plans (appraisals).
  • Submit accurate repair plans (appraisals) for Insurance company approvals.
  • Manage the work order and supplement
  • Order necessary parts
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient skills in Audatex & Mitchell estimating systems.

Parts advisor

Job Description

Location: Brampton Chrysler

Essential Duties: • Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. • Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line. • Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information in a courteous and cheerful manner. • Assists technicians at the back counter, ensuring that the Tech presents a hard copy of the Repair Order with the appropriate lines/complaints when requisitioning parts. • Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate. • Provides high level of service to internal and external customers. • Pulls and fills orders from stock. • Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention. • Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary. • Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received. • Notifies the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered. • Pulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number. • Follows up on back-ordered parts. • Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required. • Replenishes assigned inventory daily. • Assists outside sales representatives with their orders. • Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. • Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization. • Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer. • Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice. • Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified. • Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians. • Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts. • Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up. • Solicits assigned accounts by phone. • Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered. • Cleans computer terminals and printers daily. • Participates in all training programs that are made available. • Keeps current on new products and product updates. • Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program. • Maintains professional appearance.

Service Porter

Job Description

Location: Brampton Chrysler

Essential Duties:

Cleans the service and customer areas.
Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
Washes all windows, glass doors and glass panels throughout service area.
Mops, or vacuums, and cleans service waiting area, offices, technicians' locker room and lunch room, halls, and shop bathroom.
Sweeps technician stalls, service department, halls, and vending areas.
Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and related supplies as needed.
Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed.
Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
Cleans power equipment.
Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.
Maintains equipment and cleaning supplies.
Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures.
Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager.
Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
Runs errands as directed by foreman, or Service Manager.
Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Must have Valid Driver's License
Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Marginal Duties:

Moves vehicles to and from service line.
Vacuums and cleans customer vehicles as directed.
Inspects vehicles in drive, as directed.

Service Shuttle

Job Description

Location: Brampton Chrysler

Essential Duties:

Drives customers to their homes or places of business, and/or picks them up after their vehicle is repaired at direction of Service Manager.
Uses good judgment and safe driving skills.
Keeps a timely shuttle route.
Assists passengers getting in and out of vehicles.
Operates radio or similar device to communicate with dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Keeps a record of trips including names of passengers and destination or pick-up point.
Notifies dispatcher or service manager of any servicing the shuttle vehicle may require, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, and general maintenance.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work evenings and saturdays

Marginal Duties:

Maintains shuttle van in a constant state of preparedness for customer service.
Notifies Service Manager of any customer disclosed information regarding the level of service received at the dealership.

Service Cashier

Summary:

Receives payment for service and parts transactions and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Computes customer bills.
  • Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received and accepts charges for those customers on approved credit list.
  • Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
  • Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
  • Operates cash register.
  • Reconciles cash drawer daily.
  • Balance daily sales from parts and service departments with cash, checks and credit cards received for payment.
  • Finalize paid invoice on computer system by indicating amount paid and method of payment.
  • Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc. to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
  • Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
  • Maintains and files repair orders, parts invoices; lists missing documents.
  • Receives Repair Orders and Parts Counter Invoices, when completed, from the departments and places RO's in pending file until customer claims car.
  • Closes all open invoices.
  • Assists service and parts department with telephone coverage.
  • Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments.
  • Works with department manager to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price.
  • Reconciles hours "Flagged" on Repair Order with final invoice to ensure proper payment to the dealership.
  • Maintains and totals daily technician "flag" sheets.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Must be able to work evenings and saturdays

Service Advisor

Job Description 
Location: Brampton Chrysler

Essential Duties:
• Schedules service appointments. • Obtains customer and vehicle data and reviews vehicle history prior to customers' arrival, when possible. • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner, including handshake, and obtains vehicle information. • Writes up customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order. • Interviews/questions customer as needed to confirm the problem or refers to test technician, or if necessary, has the shop foreman drive with the customer. • Refers to service history, inspects vehicle including opening of the hood, and recommends additional needed service. • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications. • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts, provided by the technician. • Establishes "promised time." • Checks with dispatcher, as needed. • Obtains customer signatures on repair order; provides customer with a copy, including estimate on Customer Pay repairs. • Notifies dispatcher of incoming work. • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. • Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed, and properly documents up sell information on the hard copy and in the computer. • Implements and maintains a service marketing program. • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. • Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up-to-date. • Explains completed work and all charges to customers. • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards. • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process. • Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer at the time of write-up, if work is needed and provides an estimate for body work. • Requires excessive walking to access customer parking and service repair shop • Requires valid driver's license to drive and port vehicles to park in line up for service repair or aid in dealership valet service • Maintains a professional appearance • Keeps work area clean.
